Muster Field Farm Museum's success in promoting and encouraging the agricultural traditions of New Hampshire is largely due to the generous support of its volunteers.

From Ice Day in January, to Harvest Day in October, to holiday songfests in December, the museum calls on scores of volunteers to make it all happen.

Volunteering at Muster Field is a way to meet new people and develop new interests. If you like history and architecture, volunteering as a docent at the Matthew Harvey Homestead, a building listed on the National Register of Historic Places, will bring alive the fascinating Harvey family, and you'll share that interest with others.

We need volunteers to help with many events at Farm Days in August, such as children's games, membership table, ice-cream making, publicity, plus general help in just setting up all the activities. Harvest Day in October is growing in popularity and we need specific help in soup making and other food preparations.

For both Farm Days and Harvest Day, and on summer Sundays when the Homestead is open for tours, we are always looking for craft people and demonstrators to display their skills - weaving, spinning, music making, showing old farm tools, etc. - in short, all kinds of activities that would fit into the rural agricultural life that Muster Field celebrates.

So call us, write us, e-mail us and join up as a volunteer at Muster Field Farm!
